365- My Innocence

Sometimes you just don’t need to hear about how unstable life really is. Sometimes it’s nice to live in that innocence. But no, that’s not the way the world works. Pretty soon it’s no longer an option to believe that life is a bowl of cherries, sweet, with a few bitter ones thrown in. There, even the clichés are secretly trying to wake you from innocence.

365- Just Another Raven

Why do we all struggle with being different? Everyone wants to be different, unique, special, individual. We live in a world where we are told to be different. But is that the different we really want? Do we want this different- be- yourself that the media is giving us? They tell us to be our selves, but that selves they are talking about, is one of their own invention.  That ‘stay true to who you are’ slogan is better pronounced ‘buy this, you need to look like that, your friends expect you to be this’ It kind of defeats the whole purpose of being different anyways, after all everyone is fallowing the same suit, doesn’t that just create a world of unhappy clones? A world of people trying to fit into the latest fad because they think that’s what they need to be noticed. It just makes you blend in further with the crowd. The crowd that will swallow you, the true you, who’s been hiding under the surface all along. So what are we going to do about it?

52. Do you even know how silly you look?

BAM I just saved you a potential 50 dollars

This will blow your minds, Calvin and Hobbes, 9 cents on Amazon!!!! Exciting right?! So dude, I stocked my cart. Oh what’s that? Shipping is 4 dollars?
 Yup.
This is me, absolutely crushed. Like a bug on a windshield.
I still love amazon (9 cents was a little too much to hope for) Amazon is great, any books I buy, I buy off of amazon. Compare this,
The complete Illustrated works of Lewis Carroll:
 Barnes and Noble: 16 Dollars
 Half Price Books: 8 Dollars
 Amazon: With shipping, 5 Dollars
If you’re buying 4 books, those few dollars make a difference.
 Hey, every dollar counts.
 I’m saving up for a convertible ;)
(noooot reeeaalllyyy)

And I give you Calvin and Hobbes Cake pictures now.
No you cannot buy this cake on amazon.
Yes boohoo for you.

And I give you Calvin and Hobbes Cake pictures now.
no you can not buy this cake on amazon.
yes boohoo for you.

Rachel Fisher and I made this cake last year for our birthdays.

mmmm delicious green paste. Yeah I don't really like the taste either, but hey, it looks cool.

The process of finding the ingredients for this cake was INSANE. Russia is not very stocked in the fondant category.

Well yes I am related to Harry Potter, you did not know of this? riddikulus

Ah yes, Rachel cut her finger open.
haha no I'm just kidding.
That’s fondant....case you...couldn't tell....yehhh.. OK, moving on.

Our beautiful Hobbes, after he'd been squished a few times.....

and Calvin....YES... I know he looks bald, GET OVER IT.

Ah yes, the famous Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons

so as you can see, in the car ride to the Fisher household, I managed to smush the master piece all the more. I am sorry Hobbes.

the cake just looks nasty here....

Me and Rach were kind of sick of fondant by now, but the kids loved it.

happy Birthday plate....and a help me sign....

cupcakes we didnt have time to cover in fondant....

KNIFE.

THE END.
and that is all,
there isn't any more.

Just Thinking....

I am jealous of those wonderful people who have a naturally friendly disposition;
I am in awe of those who have made themselves the kind of person who chooses a smile instead of a frown,
That’s not always so easy.
And I sympathize with those with whom it’s not so easy, I can relate: /

But just because it’s hard doesn't mean I shouldn't try!

Tips for a Starving Artist: Tip 1

Something I've learned for myself,

No matter how good everyone tells you your creation is, you will always think that it could be improved. This is good, it keeps you trying harder, don’t let it discourage you. Just step back up to that drawing board :)

Why your vegetables always freeze

So revolutionary thing I learned today,
The little vegetable box, in the fridge, you know the one our moms have been insisting for years we put strictly vegetables in? But we always thought, who are we Adrian Monk? Who cares where the yogurt or the veggies go! It all ends up in the same place anyways...
Well, the vegetable box isn't really as cold as the rest of the refrigerator, so that way your veggies don't freeze! Now that I know the reason, I'd be happy to oblige.

A Little Reminder

I seem to be giving lots of advice, if it sucks, please don't take it. And I'm open to suggestions, so if you disagree, tell me!

Your Opinion Matters

It's so easy to forget that you are being watched, that your opinion matters. The things you say affect people, sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words will never hurt me? About the biggest lie in history. Words hurt, especially when you are growing up, if you tell someone that they are no good at something, for instance, if you told your little sister that she couldn't sing, she is going to grow up believing that. And I'm sorry, but you should be held responsible for her broken heart.
It doesn't matter if it was "just a joke" not everyone gets your humor, especially your little siblings, they look up to you. Even if it does seem that all they do is complain about you :)
